History

Ballew's Music was first opened in 1964 in Carrollton, GA by Mr. Neal Ballew Sr. Mr. Ballew always ran a tight ship, and had a great reputation for product knowledge and customer service. In the 90's his son, Neal Ballew Jr. went to work with him and formed an incredible partnership. With Neal Jr. on board the store continued to grow and eventually expand to be bigger and better than ever before! Unfortunately Neal Sr.'s health began to decline and he eventually lost a hard-fought battle to diabetes....he is revered and missed in this community to this day, for he was a true musical pioneer in the West Georgia / East Alabama area. After the passing of his father, Neal Jr. continued to operate the store for many years, continuing to build on the foundation laid by his father. With personal dreams to pursue and many other opportunites presenting themselves, Neal decided to sell the business to Lora & Monty Neese in 2005.
